Blockchain is a decentralized, tamper-resistant and indestructible public digital ledger to record transactions. Currently, Blockchain is one of the world's leading technologies that reform traditional e-cash systems and can serve as backbone technique for many other applications such as medical, industry and manufacturing, due to its desirable merits. However, the blockchain technology is still in its infancy. There are still some issues that need to be addressed in Blockchain system and its applications.

The aim of the proposed special session is to solicit high-quality contributions on all aspects of Blockchain and its applications to promote frontier research outcomes and accelerate the adoption of this technology in more real-world scenarios.

Paper Submission

A submission is limited to 6 pages for a special session paper in the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Format with Portable Document Format (.pdf). A submission can have at most 2 additional pages with the pages overlength charge if accepted. Please submit at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=smartworld2018.

Paper Publication

Accepted conference papers will be published by IEEE CPS (IEEE-DL and EI indexed). At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and present their work at the conference; otherwise the paper will not be included in the proceedings. Best Paper Awards will be presented to high quality papers. Selected papers will be recommended to special issues. More details can be found via http://www.smart-world.org/2018/.
